NEWS: Talcott Delivery Code Change (TRLY to TFLY)

Effective Wednesday, August 7, Talcott Free Library District’s delivery code has changed from TRLY to TFLY. Some changes may take effect today (Tuesday, August 6). If you have a printed code list, you will need to update that list.

The meetings are open meetings, so anyone is welcome to attend, but only the 11 members vote.

Calling all Union Listing, Basic Online and Fully Participating PrairieCat agencies in the RAILS Bolingbrook area

There will be a Sierra Cataloging Item Entry class taught Monday, August 12 9:00AM – 12:00PM at the RAILS Bolingbrook Service Center.

This class has a prerequisite: completion of the Sierra Essentials class.

Did you know? PrairieCat contracts with Syndetics, Inc. to supply enriched content for our OPAC. This includes series information, readalike suggestions, and author information that displays beneath the item’s details.

We've got the all-clear from Innovative.  We've done some internal testing and all is good.  Please report if you are still experincing issues.

NEWS: PrairieCat Mobile App Demos

The User Experience Committee is currently reviewing RFP responses for a mobile app. This is an opt-in service for PrairieCat, and the cost will be spread over those that wish to participate. Save the date for two upcoming online demonstrations from the vendors who have responded.

NEWS: Independence Day Closing (Thursday, July 4)

ACTION:  Informational 

On Thursday July 4, 2019 PrairieCat will be closed for the Independence Day holiday and all PrairieCat support staff will be unavailable.

Standard support issues should be conveyed via the Help Desk app by submitting a ticket which will be addressed the next working day.
