News: eRead Illinois Transition to The Palace Project

RAILS recently shared news about the necessary transition of the eRead Illinois collection to the Palace Project. Due to the sudden closure of Baker & Taylor, the company that develops and manages the Boundless platform, RAILS needs to immediately relocate the eRead Illinois program. Please review the announcement on the RAILS website for timeline and details. 

PrairieCat staff are coordinating with the RAILS team and the Lyrasis / Palace Project team to help minimize the disruption for our member libraries and patrons.  

  • PrairieCat staff will be requesting information from member libraries for the Palace Project configuration. Once we send the request for information, please respond as soon as possible.
  • PrairieCat staff will also be working on removing the Boundless integrations in the Vega Discover Catalog sites and the Vega Mobile app. At this time, the Palace Project does not integrate with Vega Discover or Vega Mobile.  
  • RAILS staff will be presenting about this transition at the upcoming Delegates Assembly meeting on October 29.
