Program Description

If your library is in OMNI (Online Media of Northern Illinois) and you select materials from OverDrive for your library, this presentation is for you! If you're new to using OverDrive or to the OMNI consortium, you'll learn about how ordering in OMNI works with 90+ libraries. You'll also have a chance to talk to other library workers with similar responsibilities and communicate with your OMNI co-chairs about all things OMNI. There will be plenty of time for discussion and Q&A. Please note, this session will not answer frontline staff questions about OverDrive.

60 Minute Session   |   Session will be recorded and available by October 1, 2021.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this presentation, participants will understand how to select materials from OverDrive and how ordering works within the OMNI consortium.

Dianne Ludwig  |   Freeport Public Library    |   Adult Services Manager and OMNI Co-Chair
Dianne is the Adult Services Manager at Freeport Public Library. When she took the position, she knew nothing about OverDrive. In order to learn, she jumped in with both feet and volunteered to be OMNI co-chair. Now, she and Dana Fine from Princeton Public Library are OMNI co-chairs.
