ALERT: Capira Mobile App Issues

UPDATE 7/16/2024

Capira / OCLC continues to work on the PrairieCat mobile app. They have already introduced some fixes that seem to have solved the card registration issue, which was primarily on Android devices. The issue with the app failing to launch on iOS has been partially resolved. The fix can be applied by

  1. Deleting the app from your device
  2. Restarting the device
  3. Downloading a new copy of the app from the apple store. This seems to be working for most patrons, although not all.

Capira / OCLC is continuing to work on both versions of the app and we hope to have this resolved soon.

ALERT 7/15/2024

Over the weekend, PrairieCat libraries have reported issues with the PrairieCat mobile app. This is affecting both Android and iOS users.  The following services are being impacted:

For iOS users, most of the reports state that they can not open the app.
For Android users, the tickets are about not being able to add a card, access the catalog and/or their reading history.

PrairieCat has a ticket open with OCLC/Capira. We will provide updates as we hear more.
