TRAINING: Did You Know, May 2019 - Linked Patrons

This month's Did You Know?  examines linking patrons in Sierra. Linked patrons may be used to link family groups, university graduate assistants, book club patrons or for any other purpose deemed useful by the library. Using this option is a local decision. Linking patrons does not link their fines/fees or block one patron because someone they are linked to is blocked.

This month's Did You Know explains the High Demand Holds function in Sierra. This function allows you to list titles with holds which have your library as the pickup point and for which there are at least four holds. If you run this for your library, you can see which titles you may need to order additional copies of, and if you run this for all libraries, you can identify some “coming soon” titles you might have missed!
