NEWS: New Hold Shelf Print Template - Patron Notification

Example: C19 Hold Shelf Slip

Action: Informational (Use New Template)

PrairieCat staff created a new hold shelf slip print template named C19HOLDSLP. The new C19HOLDSLP template will produce full patron name, barcode, and phone number (see attached example). This modification should streamline the patron notification process while notices are off. To protect patron confidentiality, keep materials with these hold slips in a non-public space. The template can be found in the Sierra Print Templates / Holdshelf Slips.

NEWS: PrairieCat Holiday Closure - Memorial Day

ACTION:  Informational

On Monday May 25, 2020 PrairieCat will be closed for the Memorial Day holiday.

Memorial Day is a holiday for PrairieCat staff so there will be no on-call support on Memorial Day.

Support issues should be conveyed via the Help Desk app by submitting a ticket which will be addressed the next working day.

NEWS: Capira Mobile App - Curbside Feature

ACTION: Informational

Capira is going to release a new curbside functionality. Even if you are not a library that opted in for the Capira mobile app, you can use the curbside module as a web-based application for your patrons. Join colleagues from the Gail Borden PL for a webinar on Building Resilient Communities: Online and In Person on Friday, May 1, 2020 from 11:00am - 12:30pm CT.
